ORLANDO, Fla. --- Minnesota State fell to Georgia Gwinnett College 9-0 Tuesday evening in Orlando, Fla.
With the loss the Mavericks drop to 5-8 on the season, while the Grizzlies improve to 3-0.
GGC began the dual winning all three of the doubles matches. Sophomores
Camila Ojeda and
Tyanna Washa fell to Tereza Koplova and Maria Prados Cid 6-1 in the No. 2 doubles match.
The Grizzlies then won all six of the singles matches in straight sets to finish the 9-0 sweep. Freshman
Lauren Goth took a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Gabrielle Robinson in the No. 5 singles match, while junior
Monika Ryan fell to Madeline Bosnjak 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match.
Minnesota State continues its spring break trip on Wednesday as it takes on the University of South Dakota at 10:30 a.m. (CST).
