ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team finished its weekend on a high note Sunday afternoon as it defeated Gustavus Adolphus 6-3.
With the win, MSU improves to 3-3 on the season. The Mavericks have now won three of their last four duals.
Minnesota State began the dual winning all three of the doubles matches to go up 3-0. Senior

Monika Ryan posted a 6-3 win over Rachel Lindrud and Haley Trebil in the No. 1 doubles match, while sophomores
Tyanna Washa and
Camila Ojeda defeated Josie Carlson and Megan Karrow 6-3 in the No. 2 doubles match. Senior
Valerie Bresnahan and sophomore
Abby Smith posted a 6-4 win over Sydney Douglas and Kjorte Harra in the No. 3 doubles match as well.
The Mavericks and the Gusties went on to split the six singles matches as MSU locked down the 6-3 win. Streeter notched a 6-3, 6-0 win over Lindrud in the No. 1 singles match, while Ryan tallied a 6-2, 6-0 win vs. Douglas in the No. 2 singles match. Washa bested Trebil 6-3, 7-5 in the third singles match as well.
Minnesota State returns to action on Friday as it hosts the University of Mary. The dual is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., in St. Peter, Minn.
