Prior Lake, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's hockey team fell in the Hall of Fame Classic to #2 Minnesota on Saturday at the Dakotah! Ice Center.
The Mavericks found themselves trailing 1-0 after the first period of play with the Gophers scoring at the 14:19 mark. Sophomore forward
Taylor Heise scored on a wrist shot from the right dot to the top left corner of the net. MSU collected more shots on net through the first period, leading UM 8-5.

The Mavericks were outshot by the Gophers 26-18 in the game. Minnesota State did not have a power play opportunity and Minnesota was zero-for-two with the man advantage.
Now standing with a 7-10-2 (2-8-2-2 WCHA) record, Minnesota State will host Lindenwood in the final series of the 2019 part of the schedule on Dec. 14-15 at Mankato Civic Center.
