MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team (1-1, 0-0 NSIC) will remain home this weekend in preperation for a Monday night contest with the Bethany Lutheran Vikings at Taylor Center. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m., and marks the second straight season the Mavericks have hosted the Vikings.
Mavericks at a Glance: Minnesota State (1-1, 0-0 NSIC), enters the week after splitting a pair of home games against Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech. Thursday, the Mavericks defeated the Wildcats 83-57 before falling to the Huskies 80-75 Monday night.
Stat Pack: As a team, Minnesota State is averaging 79.0 points per game in comparison to its opponents' 68.5. Additionally, the Mavericks average 39.0 rebounds per game and dish out 17.0 assists per game while stealing the ball 13.0 times per game.

Youth Movement: Several underclassmen are making an early impact for the Mavericks this season. Center Kristi Fett is averaging 13.0 points per game while also averaging 6.0 rebounds a game. Freshman guard Shea Fuller is averaging 7.0 points per game this season while sophomore forward
Mikayla Nachazelhas averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game off the bench.

Scouting Bethany Lutheran: Bethany Lutheran College is located in Mankato, Minn., and is currently 4-0 (0-0 UMAC) on the season. The Vikings are members of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Bethany Lutheran is led by head coach Lyle Jones who is in his 18th season as the leader of the program.
As a team this season, the Vikings net 81.5 points per game in comparison to their opponents' 64.2. Bethany Lutheran also snatches 47.0 rebounds and dishes out 20.5 assists per contest.
The Vikings are led by junior guard Abby Olson and junior forward Hannah Geistfeld who average 22.5 and 20.5 points per game respectively. The pair also lead the team in rebounding with Geistfeld averaging 10.0 rebounds per game and Olson averaging 9.5.
Monday's game will mark the third all-time meeting between these two programs, the most recent of which was an 98-46 win for the Mavericks last season.
Looking Ahead: Minnesota State will take to the road for the first time this season, traveling to Kenosha, Wis., to take on the UW-Parkside Rangers Saturday, Nov. 30 with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The following week, the Mavericks begin the NSIC schedule with a pair of home games against Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls.
