Auburndale, Fla. --- No. 7 Minnesota State baseball snapped a three-game losing streak with a 7-5 victory over St. Anselm on Sunday.
Minnesota State (2-3) and St. Anselm (4-4) scored all of their runs in the first five innings of the game. The Mavericks scored two in the first, one in the third and four in the fifth. The Hawks tallied single runs in the second and third innings, and three runs in the fifth.
Making his second appearance of the season, junior right-hander
Carlo Graffeo (1-0) earned his first win as a Maverick — coming out of the bullpen to toss 4 2/3 scoreless innings. Graffeo scattered three hits, while striking out eight and walking none. Graffeo came on in relief of freshman right-hander
Cam Kline, who — making his Maverick debut — allowed five runs (all earned) on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. Kline walked two and struck out three.

Ty Buck and senior catcher
Noah Bluth drove in three runs and two runs, respectively. Senior center fielder
Josh Wenzel and junior right fielder
Jordan Hart led the Mavericks in hits with two each.
Will Conaton (0-1) started on the mound for the Hawks. He surrendered four runs — all earned — on four hits, while walking two and striking out one.
The Mavericks held a 10-8 edge in hits, and each team stranded eight baserunners.
Minnesota State returns to action with two games on Tuesday — facing Lewis at 12:00 p.m. CST and Notre Dame (Ohio) at 3:30 p.m. CST at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Fla.
