MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team earned a pair of victories Saturday afternoon in its double dual against Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Stevens Point.
MSU defeated GAC 214-85 and UWSP 241-58. The Mavericks now own a 4-1 record in dual action this season. The swim events took place in St. Peter, Minn., while MSU hosted the diving events. As a team, the Mavericks took first place in a total of 14 events, including both diving events and both relay events.

Jaycie Klein took first place in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 224.50, while sophomore
Lauren Hake won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 197.10. The quartet of senior

Maggie Knier posted a time of 1:48.47 to win the 200-yard medley relay, while the team of Knier, freshman

Cecilia Hake won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.92.
Along with its relay wins, Mavericks swimmers also combined to win 10 individual events. Calhoon led the way winning the 100-yard backstroke (58.92), the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.14) and the 400-yard IM (4:45.31). Freshman
Emelia Selky turned in the top times in both the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with times of 11:04.00 and 5:27.70, respectively, while Borgenheimer won both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.02) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.58).
Bass, Knier and senior
Kylie Gaeth each won an individual event as well. Bass took first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.15, while Knier won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.62. Gaeth notched a first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.52.
The Mavericks continue their season on Friday as they take part in the two-day St. Thomas Invite in St. Paul, Minn.
