Mankato, Minn. --- The 13
th rated Minnesota State soccer team set a program record with their tenth consecutive shutout at The Pitch, Saturday afternoon in their 4-0 win over Northern State.
With the victory, the Mavericks improved to 11-1-1 overall and hold a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference record of 9-0-1. The Wolves dropped to 4-7-1 and are now 3-6-1 in the NSIC.

Jenny Hoerter's delivery, giving the Mavericks a 1-0 lead in the 11
th minute.
Minnesota State would extend their lead before halftime, scoring two goals within a minute of each other. Freshman
Molly Sarafolean connected with sophomore
Taylor Kenealy at the back post to make the score 2-0, and added a goal of her own, finishing from close range in the 31
st minute.
The Mavericks took a 3-0 lead into half and held a 17-1 shot advantage, forcing the Northern State keeper into six saves.
Hoerter would provide the final goal of the contest, scoring shortly after halftime. In the 47th minute, Hoerter was found at the back post by sophomore
Anna Mixon, and was able to apply a clean finish to cap the scoring for the afternoon.
Minnesota State tallied 13 shots on goal against the Wolves, with Sarafolean leading the Mavericks with three shots on goal, and sophomore
Alesha Duccini adding two assists.
