Mankato, Minn. --- Senior 
Nolan Johnson continues to rewrite the record books as he broke the all-time career runs batted in record during Minnesota State's sweep of Northern State on Wednesday at the MSU Baseball Complex.
The Mavericks ran their winning streak to 14 games after defeating NSU by scores of 20-7 and 4-3, respectively.
The Wolves lit up the scoreboard first in game one after recording two runs in the first inning, but the Mavericks responded with five of their own in the bottom half of the inning. After junior

Connor McCallum both walked to start the inning, senior 
Max Waletich hit a double to right center to score both of them. Junior 
Taylor Branstad hit an RBI single and redshirt freshman 
Josh Wenzel scored two with a single to put the Mavericks up 5-2 after one.
In the second inning, Lucas Lorenz tied up the game for Northern State with a three-run home run. Johnson took the lead back for MSU in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single.
The Mavericks tacked on three more runs in the third highlighted by McCallum's two-run single. Johnson picked up his second RBI of the game with a single up the middle scoring McCallum to put MSU up 9-5. In the middle innings, the Mavericks scored 11 runs to pull away and take game one by a final of 20-7.
The Mavericks one through four batters which included Toth, McCallum, Waletich and Johnson went 14 for 17 at the plate with 10 RBI and 12 runs scored. Johnson finished 4-4 with four RBI and now has 151 career RBI breaking the all-time career record of 150 RBI held by Danny Miller.
Freshman 
Brody Rodning struggled during the first two innings but settled in nicely to move to 7-0 on the year. He pitched six innings and allowed five runs, four earned runs, nine hits, two walks while striking out seven batters. Sophomore 
Tyler Frohwirth pitched the final inning and allowed two earned runs.
The first three innings were scoreless in game number two, but the Mavericks struck in the fourth inning. Branstad walked to begin the inning and scored on an error by the NSU's center fielder to give MSU a 1-0 lead.
In the seventh inning, the Wolves rallied for three runs to take the lead at 3-1. The Mavericks had a rally of their own in the bottom half of the seventh inning. MSU was able to get the bases loaded and Toth came up and cleared them with a double to left center to put MSU up 4-3.
Junior 
Dakota Belter was able to shut down the Wolves in the final two innings as the Mavericks took game two 4-3. Belter moved to 3-0 after pitching three innings and allowing just one hit and striking out two batters. Freshman 
Dalton Roach started the game and pitched six innings allowing just two hits, two walks and three earned runs while striking out nine batters.
Minnesota State, which now stands at 31-4 overall and 21-3 in the NSIC, will travel to Sioux Falls to take on the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's twinbill is slated to start at 1:30 p.m. while Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.
