BEMIDJI, Minn. --- The Minnesota State tennis posted its first sweep of the season as it defeated the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles 9-0 in Bemidji, Minn.
With the win, MSU improves to 6-9 on the season, including a 6-4 record in NSIC play. With the loss, UMC falls to 0-14 on the season with a 0-10 record in conference action.
MSU began the day winning all three of the doubles match. Junior

Killian Doran defeated Catherine Brown and Whitney Erickson 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. Sophomore

Destiny Lee posted an 8-0 victory in the second doubles match, while freshmen
Lisa Dobbelaere and
Andrea Erdman earned a win in the No. 3 doubles match via a forfeit.
The Mavericks finished the day winning all six of the singles matches.
Doran defeated Brown 6-7 (7-4), 7-5 and 11-9 in the No. 1 singles match, while sophomore Abby Schmidt earned a win in the No. 6 singles match via a forfeit.
MSU won the final four singles matches in straight sets. Mashburn bested Erickson 6-1, 6-0 in the second singles match, while Lee defeated Nikki Dogan 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles match. Dobbelaere earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Rachelle Alcini in the No. 4 singles match, while Erdman topped Chelsea Burrows 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth singles match.
The Mavericks wrap up their regular season schedule on Sunday as they take on Bemijdi State. The dual is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
