TAMPA, Fla. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team suffered its third consecutive loss Monday as it fell to the Ferris State Bulldogs 8-1.
MSU falls to 4-5 on the season, while Ferris State improved to 15-7.
The Mavericks began the day winning one of the three doubles matches. The team of sophomore
Melissa Mashburn and freshman
Destiny Lee defeated ShawneeAnn Brelsford and Arien Kissinger in the No. 2 doubles match by the score of 8-4.
The Bulldogs finished the dual winning all six of the singles matches in straight sets as they secured the 8-1 win. Freshman
Lisa Dobbelaere lost in the No. 4 singles match to Kissinger by the scores of 6-4, 6-2.
The Mavericks continue action in their spring break trip on Tuesday as they take on Olivet Nazarene at 9 a.m.
