ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to Gustavus Adolphus 8-1 Saturday evening at the Swanson Tennis Center.
With the loss, MSU falls to 4-8 on the season.
MSU began the day winning one of the three doubles matches. Sophomore
Melissa Mashburn and freshman
Destiny Lee defeated Katie Aney and Cal Carlson 8-4 in the No. 2 doubles match.
GAC won all six of the singles matches in straight sets to secure the 8-1 win. In the No. 2 singles match Lizzy Stanczyk defeated Mashburn by the scores of 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.
The Mavericks resume conference on Saturday, March 28, as they host the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in St. Peter, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
