Mankato, Minn.  --- #2 rated Minnesota State got goals from four different players in skating past third-rated Michigan Tech in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest played in Mankato Saturday evening.

The Huskies struck first when David Johnstone fired a shot off the wing that beat Stephon Williams over the right shoulder at 15:41 of the opening period.  Junior forward Dylan Margonari capitalized on a rebound chance at 15:56 for his 11^th tally of the season and the Mavericks took a 2-1 lead into the locker room when junior defenseman Jon Jutzi 's shot from the point eluded Jamie Phillips at 19:56.

Tech tied the game at 4:55 of the second after Chris Leibinger, who had re-entered play following sitting out a two-minute minor, caught a stretch pass at the Minnesota State blue line and proceeded to score on a shot that beat Williams through the five hole. The Mavericks regained the lead at 11:58 on a shot from the high slot from sophomore defenseman Carter Foguth.  The goal is the third of the season for Foguth.

Junior forward Bryce Gervais got his 21^st of the year on a shot from the slot that beat Phillips stick side at 8:40 of the third.

Minnesota State, which converted on one-of-three chances on the power play, outshot the Huskies by a 44-23 margin in the contest.

Junior netminder Stephon Williams, who made 18 stops, now stands 20-4-3 on the year.

Tonight's attendance of 5,446 establishes a Minnesota State record and combined with last night's attendance (5,172) sets a mark for a two-game home series at 10,618 shattering the previous  record of 10,294 (vs. North Dakota, Feb. 21-22, 2003).

The Mavericks, 24-6-3 on the season, stand 20-3-2 WCHA with tonight's win.  Michigan Tech stands 24-8-2, 19-4-2 WCHA.

Minnesota State closes out the 2014-15 regular season with a two-game league road series at Bemidji State next weekend.
