Fairbanks, Alaska --- Top-rated Minnesota State and the University of Alaska battled to a 1-1 overtime tie in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest played in Fairbanks Friday evening.

Minnesota State and Alaska close out the two-game league series Saturday with a 10:07 p.m. CST face-off scheduled at Carlson Center.
