David Morley crashed the net for the rebound and found the back of the net for his second goal of the season. At the 19:43 mark, Maverick sophomore
Brad McClure took a penalty shot after a Husky player threw the puck while it was in the SCSU crease. McClure's shot was stopped by
Charlie Lindgren and SCSU entered the locker room owning a 1-0 edge after the first period of play.

Jimmy Schuldt beat Huggins high on the glove side at 10:55 and the Huskies owned a 2-0 lead after two periods of action
The Huskies scored twice in the third to close out the game.
Patrick Russell jammed one in from the side at 10:39 and
Kalle Kossila beat a screened Huggins with a shot from the wing at 14:32.
The Mavericks went zero-for- 1 in power play chances on the night, while SCSU was also zero-for-one with the man advantage in the game. St. Cloud State owned a 33-30 advantage in shots on goal in the game as Minnesota State junior netminder
