ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to the St. Cloud State Huskies Friday by the score of 8-1.
With the loss, MSU falls to 3-16 on the season, including a mark of 2-7 in NSIC action. With the win, SCSU improves to 10-11 on the season, including a mark of 7-1 in league play.
MSU began the day winning one of the three doubles matches.

Alexis Ronney won the second doubles match 8-4. The duo of junior
Shealyn Bakke and sophomore
Alexis Haakedahl lost the No. 1 singles match 8-6, while freshmen
Abby Schmidt and
Danni Barr lost the No. 3 doubles match 8-3.
The Huskies claimed all six of the singles matches to claim the 8-1 win.
The No. 1 singles match saw Mashburn force a deciding third set as she fell to Katie Kotschevar 6-4, 4-6, 10-7. SCSU won the final five singles matches in straight sets.
MSU continues conference action Saturday as it takes on Minnesota Duluth in St. Peter, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
