Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. --- The Minnesota State softball team pushed its winning streak to six games in dominating fashion as it downed Ohio Dominican, 8-1, before making slight work of Hillsdale College earning a 9-0 win in five innings to improve to 8-4 on the season.
The Mavericks and the Panthers saw a pitcher's duel for the first five innings of the day before the MSU seniors started swinging the sticks.

MSU kept things rolling in the top of the seventh inning as it rattled off seven runs beginning with freshman

Karli DesLauries. Holien would go on to score on a passed ball by the Chargers, followed by a two RBI double by senior
Anna Cole which scored Erickson and DesLauries. Cole when on to score the seventh run of the inning with the RBI being credited to Riordan, bringing the score to 8-0 with three outs remaining in the contest.
Ohio Dominican was able to record one run on two hits in the bottom of the seventh inning as freshman
Molly Renken saw one inning of relief work.
Erickson and Cole led the Maverick offense in its first contest of the day as Erickson posted two runs on two hits in three at bats, while Cole scored one run on one hit with two RBI.
Junior
Brittany Lauterbach picked up her fourth win of the season not surrendering a run in six innings of work with seven strike outs. Renken gave up one run on two hits in one inning of relief.
The Mavericks wasted no time in their second contest of the day as Holien recorded a single, stole second base and was batted in by a DesLauries single. MSU went on to post three additional runs in the top of the first, as DesLauries, Erickson and Wood all scored off of a triple from sophomore
Tatum Klien.
Holien and DesLauries got things started in the second inning before scoring off an Erickson triple, who went on to score on a throwing error, boosting the Mavericks' lead to 7-0 after two complete innings.
Minnesota State posted two additional insurance runs in the fourth inning as DesLauries and Erickson each singled before being driven in by a double off of the bat of Cole, bringing the score to 9-0, which proved to be the final score.
Erickson and DesLauries put on an offensive showing for the Mavericks each recording three runs on three hits in three at bats with Erickson recording two RBI to DesLauries' one.
Lauterbach didn't allow a hit or a run and sat six-straight batters before Renken saw three innings of relief, only allowing one hit with one strike out, earning her first career win.
MSU returns to action tomorrow as it does battle with Glenville State (8:00 a.m. CST) and Lees-Mcrae (10:00 a.m.) in a pair of early morning affairs.
