MARQUETTE, Mich. --- The Minnesota State swimming and diving team wrapped up its two-day dual against Northern Michigan Saturday, with the Wildcats claiming the 292-182 victory.
The Mavericks posted seven second-place finishes on its final day of competition against the Wildcats.
The 400-yard medley relay team of freshman
Cecilia Hake, junior
Emilie Berg, freshman
Taylor Bass and senior
Emily Green took second with the time of 4:07.62. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of junior
Samantha Rasmussen, freshman
Chelsea Calhoon, senior
Tessa Cady and junior
Jade Ely also finished second as well with a time of 3:46.41.
MSU finished second in five individual events as well.
Bass finished with a time of 1:57.85 in the 200-yard freestyle event, while Green posted a time of 25.09 in the 50-yard freestyle.
Calhoon finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.54, while junior
Alyssa Olson took second in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:41.70. Sophomore
Carley LeDoux recorded MSU's final second-place finish of the day with a time of 2:38.72 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Minnesota State returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, as it takes on St. Olaf in Northfield, Minn., at 12 p.m.
