Sartell, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s tennis team earned its seventh conference victory of the season as the Mavericks swept MSU Moorhead 9-0.
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 8-7 on the season, including a 7-2 record in NSIC play. With the loss, the Dragons fall to 2-8 on the season, with a 2-7 record in league play.

Shealyn Bakke won the No. 1 doubles match, while freshman
Sarah McCann and junior
Alexis Ronney won the No. 2 doubles match. The team of senior

Alexis Haakedahl won the No. 3 doubles match as well.
The Mavericks finished the dual with a 6-0 sweep of the singles matches.
Dohmen defeated Jenna Galstad 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match, while McCann bested Morgan Smith 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles match. In the No. 3 singles match, Bakke earned a 6-3, 6-1 win over Ashley Wood, while Haakedahl defeated Jaime LaCoursiere 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles match. Freshman
Monica Sanvik claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 5 singles match over Kaitlyn Emerson, while Ronney completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 6 singles match over Kaitlin McNary.
The Mavericks return to action on the road April 4, as they take on St. Cloud State.
