Minneapolis, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s tennis team fell 8-1 in a nonconference dual against St. Catherine Saturday evening.

With the loss, MSU stands at 4-2 on the season, including a 3-1 record in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

Sophomore Shealyn Bakke posted MSU’s lone win of the day as she defeated Kylie Ketcho 6-0, 7-6 (2-0) in the No. 4 singles match.

Minnesota State returns to action March 1 as it takes on Minnesota, Crookston in Winona, Minn.
