The Facts: The Minnesota State women's tennis team (7-8, 5-2 NSIC) continues its roadtrip this week as it preps for three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches.
Minnesota State opens the week at Augustana – the top-ranked team in the region and #31 team in the nation according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association – Wednesday before traveling to Grand Forks, N.D., to face U-Mary and Minnesota, Crookston, Saturday afternoon.
What Just Happened: Last weekend, Minnesota state split a pair of NSIC matches, falling to Winona State, 7-2, before rebounding to defeat Bemidji State, 9-0.
About Our Opponents: Augustana enters the week owners of a 14-3 record and are 8-0 in the NSIC. The Vikings enter the week with a pair of singles players ranked within the region as Katie Jesperson is ranked #3 in the region while Michelle Wades is #16. In doubles action, the duo of Hanna Gebauer and Heather Sullivan is ranked #8 in the region.
Minnesota, Crookston enters the weekend 2-6 overall and 1-6 in league play while U-Mary is 2-11 overall and 1-6 in the circuit.
As a Squad: Minnesota State owns a 44-46 (.489) record in singles play this year and is 19-26 (.422) in doubles action. In league action, MSU is 30-12 (.714) in singles play and 13-8 (.619) in doubles action.
