The Facts: The Minnesota State women's tennis team (5-5, 3-0 NSIC) returns to the friendly confines of the Swanson Tennis Center on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College this week for three matches.
The Mavericks face GAC Saturday at 8 a.m., before battling league member Upper Iowa at 12:30. The weekend ends Sunday with a 9:30 a.m., match against Southwest Minnesota State.
What Just Happened: Minnesota State played to an 0-3 record last week during its spring trip to Kissimmee, Fla.
The Mavericks opened the match with a 8-1 loss to the College of New Jersey before suffering a 9-0 loss to Grand Valley State. The trip rapped up Thursday with a 9-0 loss to Wayne State of Mich.
About Our Opponents: Gustavus Adolphus enters the week with a 6-2 record while Upper Iowa is 4-9 overall, 3-2 in the NSIC. Southwest Minnesota State is 0-6 overall and 0-2 in league play.
As a Squad: Minnesota State owns a 28-32 (.467) record in singles play this year and is 11-19 (.367) in doubles action. In league action, MSU is 14-4 in singles play and 5-4 in doubles action.
