The Facts: The Minnesota State women's tennis team (4-2, 2-0 NSIC) continues its seven-match roadtrip this Thursday as it travels to St. Cloud State for a 3 p.m., Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match with the Huskies.
What Just Happened: Minnesota State played to a split last weekend, suffering an 8-1 loss to St. Olaf before bouncing back to defeat MSU Moorhead in a league match, 8-1.
About Our Opponent: St. Cloud enters the week owners of a 3-5 record. Last weekend the Huskies travelled to Grand Forks, N.D., and played a trio of NCAA Division I opponents, falling to North Dakota, 7-1, South Dakota State, 9-0, and Creighton, 9-0.
As a Squad: Minnesota State played to a 23-13 (.639) record in singles play this year and is 10-8 in doubles action. MSU's #4 flight, which has featured freshman Shealyn Bakke all season, is 5-1 while the #2, #3, #5 and #6 flights are 4-2. The top flight owns a 2-4 mark on the season.
