What Just Happened: The Minnesota State women's tennis team enters this weekends matche's with a 10-7 record, including a 5-2 record in the NSIC, which is good for fourth-place.

What Lies Ahead: Minnesota State continues league play Friday with a 4 p.m. match at Augustana. The Vikings enter the match ranked #31 in the nation and #1 in the Central Region according to the ITA. Saturday, the Mavericks will face Northern State in a nonconference tilt at 1:30 p.m., before playing U-Mary in a league match at 4 p.m. MSU wraps up action with a pair of league matches Sunday against Bemidji State (9:30 a.m.) and Winona State (1:30 p.m.). All four of the weekend matches are scheduled to be played in Aberdeen, S.D.

Rankings: In last week's ITA rankings, the Mavericks were ranked seventh in the region. Senior Sarah Madigan and sophomore Kathryn Gavin were ranked ninth in doubles action. The next edition of the ITA Regional rankings is scheduled for May 4.

n the first edition of the NCAA Central Region rankings, the Mavericks were ranked sixth.
