Grand Island, Neb. --- The Minnesota State men’s tennis team suffered a pair of losses Friday to two regionally ranked teams.
The Mavericks opened the day with a match against the #2 team in the region, Nebraska-Kearney, and fell 6-0 to the Lopers. Just one singles match went to the super tiebreaker, as sophomore
Mitch Barr –ranked #10 in the region, fell, 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 to Josh Raymond, the #6 regionally ranked player at the number one flight.
In the nightcap, MSU fell to Metro State, 5-2. The Roadrunners entered the match as the #3 ranked team in the region.

Matt Jameson earned an 8-5 win. Sophomore
Cole Jensen earned a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory at the #3 flight to close the Maverick scoring.
Minnesota State (4-9) plays Mesa State tomorrow at 3 p.m., in Grand Island.
