Mankato, Minn. — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association named its All-Academic and Scholar-Athletes for this past season.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. All eligible student-athletes whose names appear must have competed in at least one varsity match and maintained GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Maverick women were featured as an All-Academic Team while junior Tegan Bakke, sophomore Brandi Dohmen, sophomore Kathryn Gavin, sophomore Jenny Gustafson, senior Sarah Madigan and sophomore Hailey Robb were all named Scholar-Athletes.

On the men's side, sophomore Mike Lindamen and junior Marco Vazquez were each named Scholar Athletes on the men's side.

The men finished the 2011 season with a 5-12 record while the women finished with a 14-10 record.
