KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Minnesota State men's basketball team eighth in this week's National Basketball Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Poll, the final poll of the year.
This marks the 38th time in school history that Minnesota State has been ranked in the top-10 by the NBCA. It also marks the 12th straight week that MSU has been ranked in the top-10 this year.
Last week, the Mavericks dropped its only game of the week, a quarterfinal game in the NSIC/Sanford Health tournament to Southwest Minnesota State, 80-78.
The Mavericks are one of three teams from the NSIC in the top-25, #16 St. Cloud State and #25 Augustana.
Minnesota State (24-4) hosts the NCAA Division II Central Region tournament this weekend, beginning Saturday at noon. The Mavericks play Colorado School of Mines, Saturday evening at 6 p.m., in a quarterfinal match-up.
