KEARNEY, NEB. --- The Minnesota State men’s tennis team, ranked #5 in the central region dropped a pair of 5-1 decisions Saturday to Mesa State and Metro State.
Mesa State entered the day ranked #2 in the ITA Regional poll while Metro State was #3.
Freshmen Cole Jensen and Mitch Barr picked up MSU’s only wins of the day at the #2 doubles slot. Against Mesa State, the duo won 9-8 (8-6) and against Metro State they won 8-4.
The Mavericks (2-11) return to action April 8, when it travels to Sartell, Minn., to play St. Cloud State.
