St. Peter, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to St. Cloud State Friday evening in a nonconference match in the Swanson Tennis Center on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

Three matches were decided in tiebreakers, all of which went to the Huskies.

Minnesota State picked up a win junior Heather Jensen and senior Paige Burke earned an 8-6 win at the #2 doubles flight, while Jensen picked up a 6-3, 6-4, victory at the #6 singles flight.

The Mavericks (7-8) return to action Sunday as it travels to Bemidji State for a 10 a.m., match against the Beavers.
