Mankato, Minn. ---  Minnesota State senior center Travis Nelson (Marion, Iowa) was listed as a NCAA II All-America Top-25 player by the Basketball Times.

The award is the fourth preseason honor Nelson has received this year as he was also named: Preseason Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year, Preseason Super 16 by the DII Bulletin and Honorable Mention All-American by the Sporting News.

Last season, Nelson averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Mavericks, who finished the year with a 26-9 record. 

The Mavericks open the 2009-10 campaign Nov. 15 against Monmouth (Ill.) at 3 p.m.
