Mankato, Minn. ---  Minnesota State senior center Travis Nelson (Marion, Iowa) was listed as Super 16 All-American by the DII Bulletin.

Last season, Nelson averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Mavericks, who finished the year with a 26-9 record.  He is the only player from the Northern Sun listed in the Super 16.   Winona State's David Johnson and Brian Sykora of Minnesota Duluth were both listed under the Honorable Mention category.

The Mavericks open the 2009-10 campaign Nov. 15 against Monmouth (Ill.) at 3 p.m.
