Bre Payton joins the Minnesota State Volleyball coaching staff after completing her playing career at the University of Northern Iowa, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in exercise science and sport psychology. In her playing career with the Panthers, Payton set the Missouri Valley Conference record for triple-doubles, posting 17 while at Northern Iowa. Payton also received Division I All-American honors three times, and was also named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year three seasons. In addition to her coaching duties, Payton is also a member of the Iowa Ice semi-professional volleyball team, which finished second in the nation during its inaugural season in 2012 and this past May, the Ice won the national title, a tournament in which Payton was named the MVP. Bre is the daughter of Bill and Barb Payton.
