High School: A three-year starter and letterwinner at  Blue Springs High School, scored 11 goals and had eight assists for 32 points during her career as a defender...Selected to an all-area team, all-conference team and an all-district first team throughout her career...Sophomore season selection for team's Offensive Player of the Year and during her junior season she scored a hat-trick in the district semi-final match to eventually go on and be district champions...Primarily plays in the outside wing/striker position on the field. 

Personal: Daughter of Guy and Amy Cates and has one sibling, Mary...Involved with the National Honor Society and was on the honor roll...Plans to major in Psychology at MSU, hoping to one day open her own practice as a therapist...She was born on Dec. 27, 2001.
