Long has served as Director of Hockey Operations for the Women's Hockey program since August, 2019. She manages all aspects of women's hockey operations in accordance with NCAA and University rules and regulations. She works directly with coaches, student-athletes and athletic department staff to help facilitate and coordinate day to day hockey operations. Duties include team operations, game management, event coordination, logistics planning, scheduling, budgeting and video editing/production coordination.
Prior to Minnesota State, Long spent three years as High School Hockey & Girls/Women's Hockey Coordinator for the San Jose Sharks. There, she represented Jr Sharks Girls program among Norcal Youth Hockey Association, California Amateur Hockey Association and USA Hockey. She also oversaw female player development and advancement and assisted in hiring of head coaches for girls programs, while monitoring coaches, managers and players within both programs.
Long has experience as a freeland graphic and web designer and audio/visual technician for the San Jose Sharks.
