AS A MAVERICK: Attended Ridley College, grades 10 – 12, where she was assistant captain of the First Girls Hockey Team for the last two years...Recipient of the Rookie of the Year award, as well as the Most Valuable Player award at Ridley...Power also played for Team Nova Scotia for the past six years, winning five Atlantic championships, as well as playing in the Nationals for Team Atlantic the past two years...Most recently, in February 2011, Power was named assistant captain for Team Nova Scotia in the Canada Winter Games.
