2021-22: Started in goal for two games as an emergency goaltender (stemming from the MSU women's tennis team) for the Mavericks' during a weekend series at #2 Ohio State, Nov. 19-20...Backstopped the Mavericks en route to 6-3 and 9-0 losses against the eventual 2021-22 National Champion Buckeyes...Saw 99 total shots in the series and made 84 saves for a .848 save percentage and 7.52 goals-against average.

The Stilwell File: A three-sport athlete from Litchfield, Minn., Avery Stilwell competed in tennis, hockey and softball at Litchfield High School and now competes on the Maverick women's hockey and tennis teams at Minnesota State...Stilwell received all-conference honors four times as a member of the tennis team and served as a team captain during her junior and senior seasons...As a member of the No. 1 doubles team during her freshman season, Stilwell claimed a section championship and finished third at the state tournament...As a sophomore, she would once again claim a doubles section championship and finish second at the state tournament...During her junior and senior seasons, Stilwell would help her team to a pair of section championships, including a third-place finish at the state tournament where she finished second on her doubles team...In singles competition, Stilwell competed in the No. 1 singles matches during her junior and senior season...She also claimed four academic all-conference honors as a member of the tennis team, to go along with two as a member of the hockey and softball teams...
