Biography

As a Maverick:  Served as an alternate captain as a senior...Four-year letterwinner (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16)...Finished career with 31 goals and 77 assists for 108 points in 155 games played...108 points ties for ninth on Minnesota State's career points list...13 career game-winners stand tied for fourth on school's all-time list.

2015-16:  First Team All-WCHA selection...Led Minnesota State in scoring and assists as a senior with 11-24--35...Had a goal and four assists in 6-2 win over Alaska Anchorage (11.27.2015). All five points came in the first period of the game in which the Mavericks won 6-2...Led the WCHA in assists (21 in 28 league games) and finished second in the WCHA scoring race (7-21--28)...Ranks sixth in the nation with 497 face-off wins...Led the Mavericks with seven game-winning goals and ranked second on the team with +11...Scored overtime game-winner in 3-2 victory at Minnesota (Nov. 14).

2014-15: Tied for sixth in scoring on team with 10-18--28 in 37 games played...Named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week after tallying four goals and assist in two wins over Bemidji State (Nov. 7-8). Tallied first career shorthanded goal and added an assist on a power play goal by Bryce Gervais in Friday's 6-3 win over Beavers. Then scored three times in leading Mavericks to a 5-3 victory the next night...Ranked third on the team with 103 shots on goal for the season...Ranked second on Mavericks with 319 face-off wins (had .537 face-off percentage for season).

2013-14: Tied for fifth on MSU’s scoring charts in 2013-14 with 4-22--26....Tallied goal and two assists for three points in Minnesota State’s 4-1 win over Ferris State in championship game of 2013-14 WCHA Final Five. Also had an assist in MSU’s 4-0 win over Bowling Green in semi-finals and was named to Final Five All-Tournament Team.... Ranked second on Mavericks with 361 face-off wins...2013-14 WCHA All-Academic honoree....Played for Latvian National Junior Team over Christmas break at 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division I Group A tournament in Poland.

2012-13:  Tied for seventh on the Mavericks with 6-13--19 in 37 games played ...Had 3-3--6 in the last 12 games of season...Named WCHA Rookie of the Week after two-game league road sweep at Minnesota Duluth Feb. 8-9. Totalled 2-2--4 in the two games vs. the Bulldogs and both of goals on the weekend were game-winning goals and first GWGs of his career. Had a goal and two assists as the Mavericks rolled to a 4-2 over the Bulldogs Friday, then scored his fifth goal of the year in Saturday’s 5-1 win...Played for Latvia at World Junior Tournament in Ufa, Russia during Christmas Break.

THE BLUEGER FILE: 
Selected in the second round (52nd overall) by Pittsburgh in the 2012 National Hockey League Draft...Member of Latvia's entry at 2012 IIHF World Junior Hockey Tournament held in Calgary and Edmonton (1-2--3 in 6 GP)...Racked up 24-64--88 in 51 GP in 2011-12 as Shattuck won USA Hockey national U18 title for second year in a row ...Had 5-15--20 in 15 games in Upper Midwest Elite League in fall of 2011...Had 24-42--66 in 54 games in 2010-11 in helping lead Shattuck to USA Hockey national U18 title. Scored a goal in double-overtime to lift Sabres past Boston Jr. Bruins in semi-finals. Shattuck downed Mid Fairfield Blues in national title game where he assisted on game-winning goal...Had 3-3--6 as Shattuck claimed 2011 Bauer/NIT tournament title.
