High School: A 6-6 guard out of Chanhassen High School, Witthus scored 1,593 points during his high school career...As a senior, he tallied 503 points and finished 20th in the state with 22.9 points per game...Also competed with the Minnesota Basketball Academy 17U Brown team...Witthus is the son of Larry Witthus who played on the Minnesota State men's basketball team from 1979-84.
