Minnesota: Joined the University of Minnesota in 2018...Named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in 2020.

High School: Served as a team captain during his season season at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School as he made 39 catches for 650 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Personal: True is the son of Darrell and Stephanie Thompson.
