Biography

2021: Appeared in 10 games for the Mavericks…Caught six passes for 45 yards and a touchdown…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team…Caught a 10-yard touchdown pass against Minnesota Duluth.

2020: No season due to COVID-19.

2019: Played in 15 games, while making seven starts for the Mavericks…Caught five passes for 36 yards.

2018: Redshirted.

High School: A native of Appleton, Wis., Johnson competed in football, basketball and track and field at Kimberly High School…Went undefeated in all four seasons at Kimberly High School as the team went 14-0 each season and won the state championship…His high school team currently has the longest winning streak in the nation at 70 games…Started as a junior and a senior where he earned back-to-back first team all-conference honors…Caught six passes for 75 yards and three touchdowns as a junior…Caught 12 passes for 188 yards and four touchdowns as a senior…Played four seasons of basketball as a forward…Named to the honor roll.

Personal: Tanner is the son of Pat and Sandy Johnson…Born March 1, 2000…Majoring in sport management and marketing.
