Biography

2016: Started all 11 games on the offensive line for the Mavericks…Named the NSIC All-Academic Team…Helped the Mavericks rush for 1,865 yards and 14 touchdowns…Named to the NSIC South Division First Team…Garnered Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Third Team honors.

2015: Started in the final 10 games of the season on the offensive line…Helped the Mavericks rush for 2,672 yards and 36 touchdown carries…Also helped block for an MSU passing attack that tallied 2,752 passing yards and 22 touchdown passes.

2014: Redshirted.

High School: A three-sport athlete out of St. Mary’s Springs High School, Schrauth started all four years on the offensive line, where he earned four letters…Team went 29-1 in conference play during his four seasons, to go along with an overall record of 51-3…Earned first team all-conference and first team all-region honors as a sophomore, as he helped his team to a state championship…Won a second state championship his junior season…Named a team captain his senior season where he garnered all-conference all-area and all-state honors…Won his fourth  conference championship as a senior and finished second in the state tournament…Competed on the track and field team for four seasons in the shot put and discus events…Played two seasons on the basketball team as a center.

Personal: Sam is the son of Tim and Jodi Schrauth…Born May 23, 1996…Intends to major in business.
