High School: A defensive end from Austin, Minn., Andersen played on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Austin High School football team...Was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter...As a senior he recorded 71 tackles, including 24 tackles for a loss and 10 sacks...Claimed all-area, all-district and All-State honors as a senior...Also competed in four seasons of track and field as a thrower and one season of volleyball...Claimed All-State honors in track and field as a junior.
