High School: Three-year starter at quarterback for Mankato East… Had 1,184 passing yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore…Threw for 766 passing yards and eight touchdowns as a junior, en route to earning all-city honors and a Big 9 honorable mention…Named team captain his junior and senior seasons…Earned all-city and all-conference honors during senior season as he finished his career at Mankato East second all-time in pass attempts, pass completions and passing yards…Earned academic all-state honors as a senior and is a member of the National Honor Society…Also competed in basketball and track and field at Mankato East…Earned three academic all-state honors as a member of the track and field team.
