High School: A defensive lineman from La Crosse, Wis., Martell Owens was a three-year starter and letterwinner with the La Crosse Logan High School football team...Also competed in basketball and track and field...Tallied 30 tackles and two sacks as a sophomore...As a junior he received All-State second team honors as he posted 32 tackles, including 12 for a loss, and four sacks...Earned an All-State honorable mention as a senior after recording 61 tackles and five sacks.

Personal: Martell is the son of Douglas Owens and Quintana Tucker...Born February 2, 2004...Intends to major in business.
