Biography

2015: Started in all 12 games for the Mavericks…Played in all 53 games during his four seasons as a Maverick, to go with 39 starts…Named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American First Team…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team for the third time in his career…Recorded 31 tackles, including 16 solo tackles…Broke up six passes and recorded one interception…Recovered a blocked punt in the endzone for a touchdown against Southwest Minnesota State…For his career, he notched 161 tackles and 10 interceptions…His 10 interceptions ranked eighth all-time at MSU…Received the NSIC Myles All-Academic with Distinction Award.   

2014: Started in all 15 games for Minnesota State…Notched 48 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss…Posted four interceptions, including one against CSU Pueblo in the NCAA Championship…Defended 10 passes, forced two fumbles and recovered one…Notched a season-high six tackles against Bemidji State and CSU Pueblo…Earned NSIC South Division All-Conference First Team Defense accolades and Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Second Team Defense honors…Named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-American Second Team.

2013: Started all 12 games for Mavericks at cornerback…Finished fourth on team in tackles with 50…Posted 5.5 tackles for a loss of 12 yards…Recorded three interceptions and defended 10 passes…Named NSIC South Division All-Conference Second Team…Recorded season-high 10 tackles against Wayne State…Defended at least two passes in four games…Named to NSIC All-Academic Team…Tallied two tackles of a loss against Upper Iowa.

2012: Played in 14 games and finished with 32 tackles during maiden season...Also had four pass break-ups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles to go with a tackle and a half for a sack...Recorded first career interception vs. Northwest Missouri State (11/24) to end Bearcats second overtime opportunity and set up a game-winning field goal in NCAA playoffs second-round win...Sseason-high five tackles twice and had season-high two forced fumbles against Concordia (9/29).

2011: Redshirted.

High School: Three-year starter and letterwinner at Bradford (Kenosha, Wis.)....As a junior led Red Devils to an 11-1 record, including a 7-0 mark in Southeast Conference games and as senior saw team finish 12-2 and 6-1 in league...As a senior finished with four interceptions and six pass break-ups while recording 35 tackles...All-Southeast Conference pick as both a junior and senior...Bradford was ranked #1 in Wisconsin for first seven weeks and lost in state semifinal.
