Biography

2019: Played in all 15 games for the Mavericks, while making three starts…Recorded 19 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks…Notched a season-high four tackles against Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota Crookston…Recorded one tackle and recovered a fumble against West Florida in the NCAA Championship Game.

2018: Made six starts, while playing all 14 games…Recorded 16 tackles, 3.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks…Notched three tackles against St. Cloud State, Minot State and Bemidji State.

2017: Competed in three games…Tallied four tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, against the University of Mary.

2016: Redshirted.

High School: A defensive lineman from Eagan, Minn., Kawlewski received three letters as a member of the Eagan High School football team…Received an all-conference honorable mention as a junior and was named the team’s best defensive lineman during his final two seasons…Claimed All-District honors during his senior season after being named a team captain.

Personal: Josh is the son of Kevin and Lisa Kawlewski…Born March 2, 1998… Intends to major in mechanical engineering.
