2021: Saw no action…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team

2020: No season due to COVID-19.

2019: Redshirted.

High School: A defensive back from West Des Moines, Iowa, Shaner competed in football, basketball and track and field at Valley High School...Was a four-year starter and letterwinner with the football team...Helped his team to a pair of district championships during his junior and senior seasons...Tallied 44.5 tackles and two interceptions as a junior, while earning all-district second team honors...Claimed All-State honors as a senior...Claimed academic all-conference honors...Competed as a guard with the basketball team...Helped the track and field team to a state championship in 2017...Won All-State honors in the 4x200 and the 4x400 events.  

Personal: Jon is the son of Trent and Becky Shaner...Born December 27, 2000...Intends to major in sport medicine.
