High School: A multi-sport athlete from Plainview, Minn., Cannon was a four-year starter and letterwinner for the Plainview-Elgin-Millview football team…Also competed with the track and field team…Played as a wide receiver and defensive back and helped his team to an 8-0 record in conference action during his sophomore season…Caught 18 passes for 306 yards and seven touchdowns during his junior season as he claimed second team all-district honors…Tallied 20 catches for 230 yards and two touchdowns as a senior, to go along with two interceptions…Received second team-all-district honors  during his senior season as well…Has received two all-conference and two all-state honors as a member of the track and field team…Helped his track and field team to a state championship as a junior…Competed in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash events, along with the 4x100 event…Finished second at the state meet in the 4x100.
