Biography

2015: Played in four games for the Mavericks…Tallied 12 tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks…Posted two tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks against Concordia-St. Paul.

2014: Started in seven games, while playing in 14 games…Finished the season with 29 tackles, including four for a loss…Posted two sacks and defended two passes…Forced a fumble and recovered a fumble…Notched a season-high five tackles against MSU Moorhead and Minot State in back-to-back games.

2013: Played in 10 games for MSU, including one start…Notched 6.5 tackles for a loss, including three sacks for a loss of 14 yards…Recovered two fumbles, defended two passes and posted two quarterback hurries…Recorded a season-high four tackles at Upper Iowa.

2012: Redshirted.

High School:  Was a two-year starter and letterwinner at Cystal Lake South where he helped guide the Gators to a pair of league crowns...During his time on varsity the Gators went 21-3 overall and 13-1 in Fox Valley Conference play...Was All-Area as a senior after recording 11 sacks.

Personal: Born August 1, 1994...Son of John and Cynthia Nero...Currently undecided on a major at MSU.
