Spencer Dickinson

Spencer Dickinson enters his first season as a member of the Minnesota State football coaching staff.

Dickinson played four seasons with the Mavericks from 2004-07, where he saw action in 34 games. In 2004, he received the Minnesota State Newcomer Award for his efforts during his freshman season.

In 2006, Dickinson was named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Second Team. He was also named to NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and was named Academic All-NCC. In 2007, Dickinson earned a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American award for his efforts in the classroom and on the field. He was also a Maverick Achievement Award recipient, and served as the main speaker at the Maverick Achievement Awards banquet in 2007.

In 2008, Dickinson was named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society.

A native of New Ulm, Minn., Dickinson graduated summa cum laude from Minnesota State in the fall of 2008 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology and a minor in chemistry.
