McCormick Stephensen joined the Minnesota State coaching staff in May of 2021 as the tight ends coach after working as a student-assistant for four year. He helped coach an offensive group that avergaed 40 points per game during the 2021 season.

A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Stephensen earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Minnesota State in the fall of 2020. He is currently working towards his master's degree in sport management at MSU.
